Partially Paralyzed Boy And Disabled Dog Learn How To Take Their First Steps Together

Due to complications at birth and a bout of meningitis, doctors never expected Tommy Jones, now 8 years old, to walk without some sort of aid.

When Tommy was younger, he wondered why he wasn’t like other children. To help him cope, his parents, Kerry and Mike, found him a new friend who understood exactly what life was like for the young boy. That friend had four legs and is named Bobo.

The Chihuahua was dropped as a puppy and, consequently, broke one of his legs. The leg did not heal properly and when the Jones’ welcomed Bobo into their family, the pup could barely walk.

Magic happened when Tommy and Bobo got together. Their mom Kerry said:

“At first they could hardly stand, but as Bobo healed they both started taking their first steps together. It was amazing.”
