When photographer Troy Moth adopted his rescue dog Nikita, she was nervous and afraid. He would approach her with the leash, and she would cower in fear. He promptly threw out her shelter-issue crate and she’s never been caged again.It took months for the Husky mix to trust Moth, but eventually the beauty was traveling the world with her artist human.

They’ve played hide-and-seek in giant redwoods, stood atop mountains, sniffed wildflowers, and played in oceans and rivers.
