An IRL interesting plot twist? During the filming of the commercial, GoDaddy employees fell in love with the main puppy, so much so the company adopted it! In a news release, GoDaddy stated:
“As our Chief Companion Officer, Buddy will be interacting with customers, mostly small business owners who are looking for relaxation and a reprieve from their hectic workday…We’re already booking time with customers … and our own employees are lining up to meet the little guy. All you have to do is look at him and ‘bam,’ your stress level goes down and your mood goes up.”
Not only that, but as Sporting News reported, Buddy now has his own Twitter (@GoDaddyBuddy), his own doge office, and lends a helping paw with outreach with GoDaddy’s national pet therapy program, which works with animal shelters all over the U.S.!
