Mexican Rescue Program’s Ingenious Idea Helps Find Pups Furever Homes

What do you do when you’ve got a shelter full of dogs to find homes for, and you have a small budget? Put together a genius stunt that’ll make people stop and think.

That’s what +Kota, Mexico’s largest pet store chain, managed to do with their “Invisible Owner” campaign. The store’s pet rescue program, which helps streamline the adoption process for shelters, wanted to bring attention to the plight of Mexico’s abandoned pups.

So they tied leashes to shelter dogs and had them go on walks with invisible owners on the streets of Mexico.

Just two months after going live, the “Invisible Owner” campaign has helped find homes for 221 homeless pups. High paws to this brill campaign! 😀
